Job Description:
Job Summary Were looking for an experienced Aircraft Sheet Metal Technician to perform scheduled inspections, sheet metal repairs, modifications, and routine service on complex aircraft. Youll work independently to ensure all maintenance activities meet the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Complete all maintenance activities per work orders, inspection, and service bulletins. Research and develop repair schemes using blueprints and technical publications. Fabricate various sheet metal parts by interpreting blueprints and calculating angles. Perform structural aircraft repairs using appropriate techniques and fasteners. Build up surfaces and structures to specifications. Install Service Bulletin kits from OEMs. Plan and develop schemes for sheet metal repairs/modifications. Use precision measuring instruments and shop equipment (power brakes, presses, saws, rollers). Construct dollies, jigs, and special tools as required. Ensure full compliance with maintenance manuals, FAA regulations, and internal requirements. Mentor junior technicians and conduct functional/operational tests.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED (Associates degree in Aviation Maintenance desired). 6 years of similar sheet metal experience in business aviation or military. Demonstrated ability to read, interpret, and understand blueprints and maintenance manuals. A&P License required. Ability to read, write, and speak English. Must pass a Spirit Aeronautics Sheetmetal exam.
