Job Description

Job Title:
Sheet Metal Technician (NMT) Job Description This role focuses on installing ductwork and sheet metal on a large industrial project at an NMT tower site. You will lay out, assemble, and install HVAC sheet metal systems, rooftop units, curbs, and related components while interpreting blueprints and adhering to strict safety standards. The position offers consistent hours with opportunities for overtime and travel support for eligible technicians. Responsibilities Install ductwork and sheet metal systems on an industrial project, including various sizes of duct and related components. Lay out and install sheet metal and duct systems according to project plans and specifications. Read and interpret blueprints and specifications to determine the correct placement of curbs, ductwork, sheet metal, and rooftop units within the building. Assist with the assembly and installation of HVAC equipment, including rooftop units, curbs, louvers, hangers, and associated sheet metal. Set rooftop equipment and curbs safely and accurately, following rigging best practices where required. Install louvers and other HVAC-related sheet metal components as specified by project requirements. Keep tools, machinery, and equipment in good working order by performing proper and timely maintenance. Follow all applicable OSHA safety standards and site-specific safety procedures at all times. Offload deliveries and load trucks at job sites, ensuring materials are handled safely and efficiently. Use appropriate hand tools and power tools, including impact drills and sockets, to complete installations. Collaborate with other trades and team members on site to ensure smooth project execution and timely completion. Maintain a clean and organized work area to support safety and productivity throughout the project. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Columbus, OH. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $35.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
