About Us:
Black Label Metals, a division of 4 Star General Contracting, is a dedicated metal fabrication shop specializing in metal roofing panels, trim, flashing, and architectural sheet metal components. Our work focuses on precision forming, clean bends, and job-ready parts for commercial roofing projects. We primarily fabricate light-gauge steel, aluminum, and galvanized materials in a stable, indoor shop environment.
This Opportunity:
We are seeking a Sheet Metal Fabricator with strong hydraulic press brake experience to support production of metal roofing components. This position is fabrication-first and centered on measuring, cutting, and bending sheet metal. Welding is occasional, light, and non-structural. If your strength is accuracy, repeatability, and clean workmanship—not production welding—this role is built for you.
Key Responsibilities:
Set up and operate hydraulic press brakes for light-gauge sheet metal Fabricate standing seam panels, trim, flashing, coping, and custom components Measure, layout, cut, bend, notch, and form sheet metal parts Operate shears, plasma table, Pittsburgh machine, and other shop tools Read and follow shop drawings, cut lists, and work orders Verify dimensions, angles, and overall quality before release Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area Perform occasional MIG or TIG welding on thin-gauge materials as needed

You are likely a strong fit for this role if you: Have 3+ years operating hydraulic press brakes Can independently set up jobs from prints, cut lists, or templates Understand bend allowances, material behavior, and tolerances Produce accurate, repeatable parts with minimal rework Take pride in clean bends and installation-ready components
Required Qualifications:
2+ years of hands-on sheet metal fabrication experience Experience operating hydraulic press brakes Experience forming light-gauge steel, aluminum, or galvanized sheet Ability to read fabrication drawings and measure accurately Strong attention to detail and consistency Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and stand for extended periods Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
Preferred Qualifications:
Standing seam metal roofing fabrication experience Architectural or commercial sheet metal background Forklift or material-handling experience This position is fabrication-focused; applicants whose experience is primarily welding may not be a good fit.
Compensation & Schedule:
Hourly rate: $22 - $28 per hour (based on hydraulic press brake skill and fabrication experience) Top-of-range pay for operators who can independently set up and run jobs Overtime available Full-time, hourly, non-exempt position Monday - Friday, onsite
