Job Description
Mechanical / Sheet Metal Foreman Job Overview We are seeking an experienced Mechanical / Sheet Metal Foreman to lead commercial piping and/or ductwork crews on active construction projects. This role works directly with the Superintendent to ensure work is completed safely, on schedule, and within budget. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial sheet metal and/or mechanical piping , proven leadership experience in the field, and the ability to keep crews productive while maintaining quality and safety standards. Responsibilities Supervise the installation of commercial mechanical piping and/or sheet metal duct systems Lead field crews while maintaining productivity, quality, and jobsite safety Support project schedules and help keep work on track to meet budget goals Test mechanical systems for proper operation and safety compliance Identify, address, and correct unsafe jobsite conditions Communicate project progress, manpower needs, and field issues directly to the Superintendent Ensure crews are following project specifications, company expectations, and site safety requirements Requirements 5+ years of commercial sheet metal and/or mechanical piping experience 1+ year of foreman or supervisory experience Ability to read blueprints/plans and lead crews effectively Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills Reliable attendance and professional work ethic Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening High School Diploma or GED preferred Physical Requirements / Work Environment Frequent standing, walking, bending, climbing, and lifting Work performed on active commercial construction jobsites Exposure to changing weather conditions, noise, heights, moving equipment, and other construction-related hazards Must be able to safely perform physical job duties in a commercial construction environment Ideal Candidate We are looking for a Commercial Sheet Metal or Mechanical Piping Foreman with strong field leadership experience, a safety-first mindset, and the ability to keep projects moving efficiently while supporting crew performance, quality workmanship, and schedule goals.
