We're expanding into the Nashville market and building a crew of skilled sheet metal mechanics to install ductwork and HVAC systems on commercial construction projects across Middle Tennessee. This is a ground-floor opportunity to join a growing division with steady work, real career runway, and the backing of a well-run shop. Position Overview We're hiring Sheet Metal Mechanics at every experience level — from apprentices ready to learn the trade, to journeymen running their own runs, to crew chiefs and supervisors who can lead a crew and manage a job. Whatever your level, you'll be fabricating and installing commercial HVAC ductwork and related sheet metal systems on active construction sites. You'll work from approved mechanical drawings, deliver clean, code-compliant installations, and help us build the Nashville division from the ground up. If you take pride in tight seams, square hangers, and a job site you'd be happy to walk a GC through — we want to talk. Roles We're Filling We have openings at all levels: Supervisors / Foremen — Run full sheet metal scope on commercial projects. Manage crews, coordinate with GCs and other trades, schedule manpower and material, own quality and safety on site. Crew Chiefs / Lead Mechanics — Lead a small crew on a single floor or zone, set the pace, train apprentices, keep the work on plan and on schedule. Journeymen Sheet Metal Mechanics — Layout, fabricate, hang, and seal commercial duct systems independently from mechanical drawings.
Apprentices / Helpers

What You'll Do Read and interpret mechanical drawings, shop drawings, and submittals to lay out and install commercial ductwork systems Fabricate, modify, and field-cut sheet metal duct, fittings, transitions, and plenums as needed on site Hang and seal supply, return, and exhaust ductwork (rectangular and round) to SMACNA standards Set and connect rooftop units (RTUs), VAV boxes, fan-powered boxes, exhaust fans, and related equipment Install diffusers, grilles, registers, dampers, and access panels per plan Coordinate sleeves, hangers, and routing with other trades (plumbing, electrical, fire protection, framing) Use Bluebeam and standard construction-management tools for markups, RFIs, and as-built documentation Perform leak testing, balancing prep, and punch-list corrections Maintain a clean, organized, OSHA-compliant work area and follow all site safety requirements What We're Looking For Requirements scale with the role you're applying for, but across the board we want: A strong work ethic, reliability, and pride in your craft Willingness to follow safety procedures and look out for your crew Ability to read (or learn to read) mechanical drawings and shop drawings Comfort on lifts, scaffolds, and ladders Valid driver's license For journeymen, crew chiefs, and supervisors, we also expect: Proven experience on commercial HVAC projects (retail, office, healthcare, education, light industrial, etc.) Hands-on skill with shears, brakes, drivers, hangers, seamers, hand and power tools, and basic welding/brazing as required Working knowledge of SMACNA duct construction standards Ability to lay out and install ductwork independently from mechanical drawings For crew chiefs and supervisors: prior leadership experience, ability to coordinate with GCs and other trades, manpower planning.
