This is for an ongoing commercial project working day shifts, Monday through Saturday. Currently working 10 hours per day/60 hours per week, Monday through Saturday Sheet Metal Mechanic pay rate: $26 - $28/hour $100/day per diem is offered for those who qualify. Weekly pay by direct deposit. The ideal candidates will have experience in fabricating, assembling, hanging, and installing sheet metal products. This role requires a strong understanding of metalworking techniques and the ability to work with various tools and equipment. The Sheet Metal Mechanic will play a crucial role in ensuring high-quality standards in our production processes. Job Duties Fabricate and assemble sheet metal products according to specifications and blueprints. Operate machinery such as shears, brakes, and plasma cutters to shape metal components. Use hand tools and power tools to perform tasks efficiently and accurately. Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet required standards. Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and within specifications. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols at all times. Troubleshoot issues that arise during the fabrication process and implement effective solutions. Utilize an ohmmeter for electrical testing as needed in specific projects. Job Requirements Proven experience as a Sheet Metal/Ductwork Mechanic - 2 years preferred. Proficient in reading blueprints and technical drawings. Strong knowledge of sheet metal fabrication techniques and tools. Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with colleagues and supervisors. Commitment to maintaining safety standards in the workplace. Complete an online and on-site safety orientation.
