MIG Welder / Fabricator Hands-On Fabrication

• Room to Grow We're looking for a skilled MIG Welder / Fabricator who enjoys building, problem‑solving, and working with a variety of metals and equipment.

• 4pm (OT until 6pm) 2nd

• Friday 6pm
• 2am (OT until 4am) What You'll Be Doing Fabricate custom products including gates, posts, brackets, and structural components Perform MIG welding daily (with exposure to Stick & TIG ) Work frequently with plasma cutting equipment Install fencing and gates at job sites when needed Read blueprints and layouts and execute to spec Operate a wide range of equipment, including: Press brake Plasma table Lathe & mill Drill press Band saw MIG, Stick, and TIG welders Various hand and power tools Perform general structural and mechanical maintenance Primarily shop‑based work with occasional travel to job sites (up to 2 weeks for remedial work) What We're Looking For 2+ years experience as a Fabricator / Boilermaker Strong mechanical aptitude Skilled in MIG welding (Stick & TIG experience a plus) Experience working with plasma cutting machines Ability to read blueprints and follow layouts Comfortable fabricating from drawings or development plans Experience with carbon steel and aluminum preferred (not required) Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Office Self‑starter mindset with strong problem‑solving skills Reliable, trustworthy, and safety‑focused Skills That Will Set You Apart Fabrication & fitting Blueprint reading Press brake operation Plasma cutting Sheet metal & structural steel Carbon steel, aluminum, and stainless steel Grinding & finishing Assembly & production work Robotics exposure (nice to have) Why You'll Like This Role Mix of shop work and field work (no two days are the same) Strong emphasis on quality craftsmanship Hands‑on work with modern fabrication equipment Stable, long‑term opportunity for experienced tradespeople Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Fredericksburg, VA.

Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00

• $32.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
