$28 - $35 per hour Job Details - We are seeking a motivated and experienced Sheet Metal Mechanic to fabricate, assemble, and install various sheet metal products and equipment in commercial and industrial settings. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the efficient operation of HVAC systems and contribute to the success of our projects.

Responsibilities:

Install and repair ductwork and sheet metal components according to plans, specifications, and contracts. Work with various duct joints, including slide and drive, TDF, snap lock, and other assemblies as required. Install equipment such as air handling units, VAV boxes, and fan power boxes used in commercial and industrial construction. Prioritize safety during all work activities, including the use of hand tools. Determine project requirements by interpreting blueprints, drawings, and verbal instructions. Inspect completed work to ensure precision, quality, and compliance with project standards.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED equivalent; at least 18 years of age. Minimum 5 years of work experience as a Sheet Metal Mechanic or in a similar role, with in-depth knowledge of sheet metal fabrication techniques and processes. Current valid driver's license and dependable transportation. Ability to perform basic mathematical operations quickly and accurately. Strong proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings. Experience in operating sheet metal machinery and tools, with a willingness to provide and use basic hand tools as required for tasks.

Preferred candidates will:

Hold certification in sheet metal fabrication or a related field. Have experience with HVAC systems installation.
