We are expanding our team and seeking a skilled HVAC Shop Fabricator for large-scale commercial construction projects. Key Responsibilities and Duties:
Fabrication & Production
  • Fabricate rectangular and round ductwork and fittings
  • Fabricate fittings like elbows, transitions, offsets, reducers and plenums
  • Assemble fittings and sectional duct using standard methods (Pittsburgh, snap-lock)
  • Operate shop equipment (shear, brake, roll former, plasma table)
  • Apply sealants, gaskets, and insulation as required Blueprint & Spec Interpretation
  • Read and interpret mechanical drawings and shop drawings from plan spec and as submitted from field personnel
  • Understand duct sizing and airflow requirements
  • Identify and communicate discrepancies to jobsite foremen Material & Inventory Handling
  • Select proper material and gauge based on specs
  • Track material usage and fabrication labor to minimize waste and maximize efficiency
  • Stage completed work for install crews
  • Assist with inventory, material stocking, shop organization, cleanliness and safety Quality Control
  • Ensure work meets company and SMACNA standards
  • Verify dimensions and labeling for accuracy
  • Perform final inspection review material lists for staging or before jobsite delivery Coordination & Communication
  • Work with installers, foremen, and project managers
  • Communicate timelines and issues
  • Be flexible to positively support priority jobs as needed Shop Maintenance & Safety
  • Maintain clean, organized work area
  • Perform basic equipment maintenance and needs
  • Follow all safety protocols and best practices.
Enforce these to others working in the shop
Requirements:
Technical Skills
  • Knowledge of HVAC duct systems (residential and commercial)
  • Ability to read blueprints and mechanical plans
  • Familiarity with fabrication tools and materials Production Skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to meet production deadlines
  • Problem-solving for custom fabrication Other
  • Lift 50+ lbs regularly
  • Stand for extended periods
  • Team-oriented

  • Strong communication Preferred Skills
  • Experience with plasma tables
  • Experience with grease or high-pressure duct
  • Knowledge of insulation applications
  • Experience in high-volume shop environments
Schedule:
This is a full-time, in-person role, Monday-Friday. Occasional overtime may be needed during peak periods
Pay:
$40-$55/hour
