Job Description

Position Summary:
The Service Technician role would be responsible for system commissioning, performance verifications, annual inspections, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting systems, and installing monitoring equipment. The Technician would troubleshoot, and problem solve system designs and work hands on with service-related PV installations.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Essential Functions Statement(s): Work to assist the construction and service departments by performing preventive and corrective maintenance on contracted PV systems Completes QA/QC on current installations as directed Performs electrical testing including megger, insulation resistance, PV curve trace, continuity, and data system integrity Inspect, evaluate, test, clean, calibrate, and maintain solar module systems, mounting hardware, combiner fuse boxes, inverters, switchgear, circuit breakers, transformers, batteries, data acquisition systems, relays, other AC and DC equipment. Documents each site visit with pictures and test results and coordinate findings with Service Manager Assists with commissioning, energization of electrical equipment, inverters, and communication equipment Oversees sub-contractors as needed Provide solutions to various system issues and all aspects of plant operation Replace malfunctioning solar hardware Travel with company vehicles to multiple job sites (daily) Individuals may perform other duties as assigned including work in other areas to cover absences or relief to equalize peak work periods or otherwise balance the workload Read and understand plan sets to test, evaluate and troubleshoot systems including string map understanding

OSHA 10 training required CPR training required Knowledge of current Arizona building, fire and electrical codes Electrical and Structural knowledge

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Consistent lifting & ladder climbing required (typically less than 25 pounds, occasionally more than 50 pounds) Bending, crouching, kneeling and standing for long periods of time may also be required
WORK ENVIRONMENT
The employee can expect exposure to outdoors and sun along with regular travel to client sites
