Position Summary Are you a skilled troubleshooter with a passion for renewable energy? We're looking for a Solar Service Technician to join our growing team! In this role, you'll diagnose and repair solar roofing systems and equipment while delivering exceptional customer service to homeowners and businesses. If you enjoy solving complex problems and taking pride in quality workmanship, this could be your next opportunity. Responsibilities Troubleshoot and resolve solar warranty and service issues on residential and commercial systems Perform equipment testing, maintenance, and repairs under supervision Replace or repair solar parts and equipment using industry-standard tools and techniques Conduct on-site root cause analysis to identify system failures Execute OEM testing, troubleshooting, repairs, and equipment upgrades Provide friendly, professional customer service and communicate effectively with clients Maintain accurate work documentation and required service reports Operate voltage testers and various hand and battery-operated tools Ensure work areas and tools are clean and properly maintained Review job specifications with Lead staff before beginning assignments Additional duties as assigned Required Qualifications 2+ years of experience in the solar installation industry Valid Driver's License with a clean motor vehicle record Ability to work at heights and in varying weather conditions Excellent verbal and written communication skills Excellent problem-solving skills. Excellent attendance is essential for the team to achieve success. Daily, local travel to jobsites will be mandatory, we have jobsites throughout Southern California Strong organizational and time management abilities Critical thinking and problem-solving skills Attention to detail and proven reliability Knowledge of solar panel diagnostics, repair methods, and tools Bilingual English/Spanish (preferred) Physical Requirements Ability to work extended hours outdoors on residential and commercial rooftops Comfortable working in various weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, humidity) Capable of lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds regularly Able to sit, stand, walk, and drive for up to 8 hours daily Flexibility to perform reaching, kneeling, pushing, pulling, squatting, crawling, bending, twisting, climbing, and overhead work Valid DOT-compliant driving record required for site visits
