SERVICE TECHNICIAN - COMMERCIAL PROJECTS STATUS

FIELD Stellar Solar is seeking an experienced Commercial Service Technician to support our commercial solar projects throughout Orange County, with occasional travel to San Diego County and Los Angeles County. The ideal candidate will have strong troubleshooting and service experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently in the field. SUMMARY Commercial Service Technicians are a critical part of the Service team, providing diagnostic, repair, and replacement support to customers whose systems are not performing properly. Ideal candidates will possess strong critical thinking skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and with a team.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
include but are not limited to the following: Troubleshoot and repair all aspects of Commercial PV systems including: Data Monitoring Systems Solar Panels Inverters Wire Connections Commission new Commercial PV/Battery systems Perform Quality Control inspections Report field findings to management in a timely manner Work with management to enhance internal training programs Assist sales, design, and installation teams as needed Communicate relevant information to customers in a polite and timely manner Write accurate billing estimates for customers when appropriate Other miscellaneous duties as needed
QUALIFICATIONS
Work will require long hours of roof work Be able to work independently and as a team Must be comfortable using ladders and working on rooftops Clean CA driver's license required Ability to lift 50+ lbs regularly Basic computer proficiency required Five years Electrical and Solar experience required Previous experience utilizing power and hand tools required High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required Experience with installation, maintenance, or commissioning of solar battery storage systems (eg. Sol-Ark, HomeGrid, Tesla Powerwall, Enphase Encharge, LG Chem, Sonnen, etc) Understanding of energy storage principles, lithium-ion battery technology, and integration with PV systems
Pay:
$35.00 - $50.00 per hour
