Position Summary The Battery Installation Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of residential and commercial energy storage systems (ESS) and solar equipment. This position works on specialized projects in collaboration with multiple battery manufacturers and plays a critical role in ensuring battery systems operate safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company standards, manufacturer specifications, and local regulations. The ideal candidate is a dependable team player with strong communication skills, electrical knowledge, a solid work ethic, and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service. Key Responsibilities Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair residential and commercial energy storage systems. Assist with the installation and service of solar photovoltaic (PV) systems and related equipment. Diagnose and resolve performance issues with battery storage systems. Verify and correct CT (Current Transformer) placement and settings to optimize system performance and utility program integration, including WattSmart. Work directly with multiple battery manufacturers on special projects and service initiatives. Identify and address job-site hazards while following all company safety policies and procedures. Ensure all work complies with company standards, manufacturer requirements, and local electrical and building codes. Perform physically demanding work, including working on rooftops and in various outdoor conditions as needed. Maintain professional communication with customers, coworkers, and office staff. Qualifications Experience with energy storage systems and solar installations preferred. Experience with Sonnen, LG, SolarEdge, or similar battery systems preferred. Strong understanding of CT placement, configuration, and troubleshooting. Working knowledge of electrical systems and safe electrical practices. Ability to read and interpret technical documentation, wiring diagrams, and installation manuals. Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting equipment, climbing ladders, and working at heights. Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record preferred.

$22•30 / hour pending experience
