Position Summary The Solar Installation Technician Lead is responsible for assisting with the installation, maintenance, and repair of residential and commercial solar photovoltaic (PV) systems. This position involves working safely on rooftops, leading installation activities, installing solar panels and mounting equipment, identifying and addressing job-site hazards, and ensuring all work meets company standards, manufacturer specifications, and local safety regulations. The ideal candidate is a dependable team player with strong communication skills, a solid work ethic, attention to detail, and a commitment to providing excellent customer service. Previous solar industry experience is preferred but not required. Key Responsibilities Lead and assist crews with the installation of residential and commercial solar PV systems. Assess job sites and identify potential safety hazards before and during installation. Layout and install mounting equipment, racking systems, solar panels, and related components. Install, inspect, maintain, and repair solar photovoltaic (PV) systems. Attach and weatherproof solar installations in accordance with manufacturer specifications and local building and safety codes. Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to company quality standards. Utilize hand tools and power tools to complete installation tasks. Maintain a clean and organized work environment. Communicate effectively with team members, office staff, and customers. Provide professional customer service throughout the installation process.
Qualifications & Skills:
Ability to work effectively as part of a team and assist in leading installation activities. Comfortable working on rooftops and at heights for extended periods. Ability to lift and carry at least 50 pounds without assistance. General labor and construction experience preferred. Experience using hand tools and power tools. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities. Strong work ethic and customer service mindset. Previous solar installation experience is preferred but not required. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Reliable transportation to and from the office.

$28•32 / hour pending experience, plus piece rate
