LOOKING FOR A SOLAR TECHNICIAN - MUST LIVE IN TORRANCE OR THE SURROUNDING AREAS POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Technician to service, maintain, and repair residential solar, battery storage, and generator systems. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing electrical issues, ensuring compliance with codes and utility/AHJ requirements, performing preventative maintenance, and providing exceptional customer experience. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Driving to customer homes Troubleshooting and Fixing PV systems Troubleshooting and Fixing Monitoring systems Relocate panels Bend pipe Rewire roof top conductors Write Reports for each job Take Pictures and upload to cloud account Communicate clearly and professionally with customer on site. Communicate clearly and professionally with the office. Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain PV panels, inverters, batteries, generators, and related electrical components. Conduct preventive maintenance, including panel cleaning, wiring inspections, inverter cooling checks, and battery health assessments.
Commission systems and upgrades:
verify wiring, grounding, inverter settings, battery configuration, generator transfer switch operation, and utility interconnection. Ensure compliance that all work meets NEC, AHJ, electrical codes and utility standards. Use test tools (multimeters, clamp meters, insulation testers, thermal imaging cameras) to assess performance and detect issues. Monitor system output and data; interpret trends; recommend corrective or optimization actions. Work directly with homeowners, explaining issues, answering questions, and ensuring satisfaction. Providing excellent customer service. Maintain accurate service logs, inspection results, parts tracking, and before/after photos. Follow strict safety protocols, including PPE use, fall protection, and lock-out/tag-out. Respond to emergency and warranty service calls as needed. Diagnose, troubleshoot, service, maintain, and repair electrical issues and/or components of residential solar energy and backup power systems, including panels, inverters, generators, and battery storage. Maintain active and up-to-date professional certifications required for the role with willingness to pursue additional certifications as needed. Full Time Monday - Saturday 8am-6pm Sundays always off.

REQUIREMENTS MUST LIVE IN TORRANCE OR THE SURROUNDING AREAS
2+ years of Solar FIELD Experience Must know electrical basics of PV systems (wiring/color codes) Must know basics of networking for the purpose of installing Monitoring devices. Clean Background Check Driver's License with Clean Record Be able to take truck home and park in safe location. Have basic tools. Read and write proficiently in English Be able to bend over repeatedly and carry more than 50LBS Climb ladders and roofs
