Solar PV Diagnostics Technician Rack Industries Boca Raton, FL Job Details $22 - $25 an hour 11 hours ago Qualifications Field service equipment repair Renewable energy installations Cross-functional communication Full Job Description Is This You? Do you quickly turn low-production alerts into concrete fixes? Can you pinpoint why an inverter gateway won't talk to the system? Have you revived a site by swapping a failed microinverter or addressing storage hiccups? If so, you'll thrive in this PV diagnostics role focused on swift, accurate field resolutions. Your Impact Diagnose and resolve PV performance issues, including production shortfalls Troubleshoot gateway/inverter communication problems Identify and remedy microinverter failures Assess and improve battery/storage performance Handle roof leak-related service in line with SOP Complete warranty-driven service visits Execute basic onsite testing and system verification Support removal and reinstall (R&R) work when needed In the Field Perform onsite inspections and service calls Assist with site surveys as required Capture photo evidence and detailed notes for every visit Communicate findings clearly to internal teammates Tools & Workflow Track jobs and update statuses using ServiceTitan or similar software Maintain accurate service documentation and close-out notes Coordinate with fellow technicians, vendors, and office staff Occasional Cross-Trade Support Perform light, non-licensed electrical tasks Coordinate generator or surge-related service actions Support general service team needs Minimum Qualifications 1-3 years of residential solar experience: install, service, or troubleshooting Working knowledge of PV components and typical service issues Proven field troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Strong documentation and communication capabilities Preferred Qualifications ServiceTitan (or equivalent) familiarity Electrical experience (highly valued) R&R project background Site survey experience Certifications That Stand Out Enphase Tesla Powerwall Generac PWRcell Qcells SolarEdge Bring your diagnostic mindset and help customers get the most from their solar investment.
