Job Description

Job Overview Join our team as a Solar Installer bringing clean, renewable energy solutions to North Central Florida! This position is responsible for assisting the Crew Lead with quality solar PV installations, including system layout, roof penetrations, assembling racking, running conduit (exterior and in attics and crawl spaces), panel attachment, grounding, pulling wire, assembling wire combiner boxes, and performing voltage testing.

Job Responsibilities:
Assist Crew Lead with quality solar PV installations, including system layout, roof penetrations, assembling racking, running conduit (exterior and in attics and crawl spaces), panel attachment, grounding, pulling wire, assembling wire combiner boxes, and performing voltage testing Follow all OSHA and company safety requirements Follow all company operations standards and processes Stage materials and tools and help load the truck/trailer for each job Assist with general site preparation and continuous jobsite clean-up Participate in online and in person trainings related to safety and solar installation Communicate regularly with team members to ensure projects are moving along safely, quickly, and efficiently Review projects post install to determine areas for efficiency improvement Maintain a neat and professional appearance and communicate with customers in a positive manner Meet attendance and punctuality requirements, including occasional night and weekend availability to meet project deadlines Skills/Experience (Required): Ability to work at great heights Able to kneel, bend, crouch, and climb ladders Capable of working on feet for long periods Able to lift at least 75 pounds at a time. Willing to wear PPE in performance of some duties (e.g., harnesses, hard hats, gloves, masks, ear protection, etc.) Able to work in extreme hot/cold temperature conditions Willing to work 10-hour or longer shifts Able to pass pre-employment background check, driver check, physical, and drug screen Must be able to report to work in person and on time as scheduled, and work nights and weekends as needed Solar, electrical, or roofing experience is preferred Compensation and Benefits Full time employment in a growing industry Pay rate dependent on experience Employee ownership Strong emphasis on professional development and training Health, dental and vision insurance with HSA contribution 120 hours PTO annually 401(k) match up to 4% after one year of employment Apprentice sponsorship

$17.00 - $22.00 per hour
