Job Overview Must know - Solar Pool Heat, Solar Domestic Hot Water & Photovoltaic Join our dynamic team as a Solar Technician and play a vital role in the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of solar energy systems. This energetic position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to sustainable energy solutions while developing your skills in electrical work, construction, and renewable energy technology. As a Solar Technician, you'll work on commercial and residential projects, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality solar system setups that make a real difference for our clients and the environment. Duties Install solar panels, mounting systems, inverters, and related electrical components on rooftops and ground-mounted sites. Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams to accurately execute installations. Conduct wiring, electrical connections, and fixture installations adhering to NEC (National Electrical Code) standards. Perform troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repairs on existing solar systems to optimize performance. Use hand tools, power tools, roofing equipment, forklifts, and other construction site machinery safely and effectively. Collaborate with team members to ensure projects are completed on time and meet safety regulations. Assist with plumbing tasks related to system drainage or water management as needed. Requirements Proven experience working as a commercial electrician or in electrical construction with knowledge of high voltage and low voltage systems. Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings confidently. Strong understanding of NEC guidelines for electrical installations. Experience with roofing work, fixture installation, plumbing, and working at heights on rooftops. Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, and construction site equipment such as forklifts. Construction site experience with a focus on safety protocols and efficient workflow. Valid certifications or experience in electrical work related to renewable energy projects preferred. Pay:
$25.88 - $31.17 per hour
