$40.00 to $55.00 per hour, plus overtime Job Overview Our client, a national, premier operations & maintenance (O&M) and asset management company focused on C&I solar, battery energy storage, and electric vehicle (EV) charging system, is looking to bring on an experienced Solar Service Technician to join a team that focuses commercial service projects across the Chicagoland area. This is a full-time role with our client. Job Responsibilities Completing electrical and mechanical inspections and maintenance Prepare reports for site visits, repairs, modifications, and troubleshooting. Ensure project sites are operating at full capacity and efficiency. Collaborate with project managers to ensure seamless transition to O&M. Communicate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely and efficient resolution of all site maintenance activities. Strictly adhere to all company safety protocols. Perform site and system assessments and QA/QC inspections

Successful Candidates Must Have:

Technical certification/training; an electrical license and NABCEP certification are highly preferred. A valid Driver's license with a clean driving record. 2+ years of experience installing/maintaining commercial-scale solar and battery storage systems. 4+ years of commercial/industrial electrical experience Experience with equipment and instruments used for commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting electrical and IT-related systems, including (but not limited to): digital multimeters, ammeters, voltmeters, megohmmeters, curve tracers, infrared imaging tools, and digital thermometers Experience with centralized

DAS/SCADA/EMS

control systems. Working knowledge of Commercial Power Plant Operations. An ability to read electrical/mechanical drawings, equipment manuals, and technical specifications. Knowledge of NEC and local building codes and OSHA safety standards; an OSHA 30 certification is preferred. An ability to troubleshoot system failures. An ability to climb ladders, stairs, and work on rooftops. An ability to work in extreme weather conditions.
