Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Lead Solar Installer to join our team and drive the successful installation of solar energy systems. As a Lead Solar Installer, you will oversee the installation process, coordinate with team members, and ensure all projects meet safety standards, quality expectations, and project timelines. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead a skilled team in advancing renewable energy solutions while maintaining a strong focus on safety, craftsmanship, and efficiency. Your expertise will help us deliver sustainable energy solutions that empower communities and protect the environment. Responsibilities Lead and supervise solar panel installations on residential, commercial, and industrial sites, ensuring adherence to project specifications and safety protocols. Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to accurately execute installation plans. Manage high voltage and low voltage electrical systems in compliance with NEC (National Electrical Code) standards. Coordinate with construction teams to integrate roofing work, plumbing, fixture installation, and other related trades as needed. Operate power tools, hand tools, roofing equipment, forklifts, and other machinery safely and efficiently on construction sites. Conduct quality control inspections throughout the installation process to ensure system performance and safety standards are met. Train and mentor junior installers, fostering a collaborative team environment focused on continuous improvement. Maintain detailed documentation of work progress, safety reports, and compliance records for each project. Skills Extensive electrical experience with a focus on high voltage systems and schematics reading. Strong understanding of NEC regulations relevant to solar installations. Proven commercial electrician experience with knowledge of blueprint reading and fixture installation. Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, roofing equipment, plumbing tools, and forklift operation. Construction site experience with a solid understanding of construction processes and safety practices. Ability to read technical drawings accurately and translate them into precise on-site work plans. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to coordinate multiple trades and manage project timelines effectively.
