Full Job Description Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Solar Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in electrical work, reading schematics, and utilizing power tools to install and maintain solar energy systems.Duties:
- Install, maintain, and repair solar panel systems on rooftops or other structures
- Ensure compliance with NEC codes and local regulations
- Work with a team to plan and complete solar panel installations
- Troubleshoot system issues and perform necessary repairs
- Assist in the commissioning of solar energy systems
Experience:
- Previous experience in solar panel installation or related electrical work
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and schematics
- Knowledge of commercial electrician practices
- Familiarity with low voltage systems
- Ability to use power tools effectively
- Experience with forklift operation for material handling
- Fixture installation skills
Requirements:
- Strong understanding of electrical systems and components
- Ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
