In this energetic role, you will assist with the installation of solar photovoltaic (PV) systems on residential and commercial rooftops and ground-mounted sites. This position offers a fantastic opportunity to learn from experienced professionals, develop essential electrical and construction skills, and contribute to sustainable energy solutions. No prior experience is necessary—just a passion for clean energy, a strong work ethic, and a desire to grow in a fast-paced environment. Most of our entry level solar installers join the Oregon Apprenticeship program and work under licensed electrical and solar electricians. Great long term career! Duties Assist with the installation of solar panels, and mounting systems, following safety protocols and technical specifications Use hand tools and power tools to perform racking mounting systems. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate system assembly Perform roof work by assisting with roofing tasks such as flashing, sealing, and safety harness setup Operate forklifts and other construction site equipment safely to transport materials and equipment Collaborate with team members on site to ensure efficient project completion while maintaining safety standards Requirements Basic understanding of building concepts including measuring, chalking and drilling. Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately Experience with hand tools, power tools, roofing, plumbing or construction is a plus but not required—training will be provided Familiarity with construction site safety practices and OSHA regulations Willingness to learn about OSHA and NEC codes. Physical ability to work at heights on roofs or elevated platforms while wearing appropriate safety gear Physical work in the hot summer and cold winter. We work all year around. Valid driver's license; forklift certification is a bonus but not mandatory—training available for qualified candidates This entry-level role is the best stepping stone to any job in the solar industry!
