Job Description

Overview The Solar Installer is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of solar roofing systems on residential and commercial properties. This includes assembling, installing, and maintaining solar photovoltaic (PV) systems on rooftops or other structures. The Installer will work closely with a team to ensure that solar projects are completed efficiently and according to specifications. This position will work primarily int he area of Mohnton, PA and Wernersville, PA. Duties and Responsibilities Calculate necessary materials and equipment required for each installation. Install solar panels, inverters, and other necessary equipment on rooftops, ground mounts, or other structures, ensuring compliance with local building codes, engineering specifications, and industry standards. Install wiring systems to connect solar panels to inverters and electrical grids, ensuring proper wiring and adherence to electrical codes. Ensure proper waterproofing and weatherproofing to prevent leaks and damage. Conduct thorough quality checks and inspections to guarantee the functionality and safety of installed solar systems. Adhere to safety protocols and regulations during all installation phases. Utilize personal protective equipment and maintain a safe working environment. Communicate with clients to explain the installation process, address concerns, and provide post-installation support. Coordinate with crew members to optimize workflow and ensure efficient project completion. Communicate effectively with crew members, management, and other stakeholders. Required Skills and Abilities Proven experience in solar panel installation or related field. Knowledge of electrical systems and building codes. Familiarity with various roofing materials and construction techniques. Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions. Attention to detail and accuracy. Education and Experience High school diploma or equivalent. Technical or vocational training in solar installation is preferred. One to two years of previous experience in solar installation or a related field is preferred.
