The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical work, construction, and renewable energy systems. As a Solar Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of solar energy systems in both residential and commercial settings. Your expertise will help us deliver high-quality solar solutions to our clients while ensuring safety and compliance with industry standards. This job will service multiple state facilities in an around California. It is prevailing wage and likely an on call position. Responsibilities Install solar panels and associated electrical systems according to blueprints and schematics. Conduct site assessments to determine the best placement for solar installations. Perform fixture installations and ensure all components are securely mounted and functional. Troubleshoot and repair electrical issues related to solar systems, including high voltage and low voltage components. Utilize hand tools, power tools, and forklifts safely on construction sites. Adhere to National Electrical Code (NEC) regulations during all installations and repairs. Collaborate with team members on construction projects while maintaining a clean and safe work environment. Assist with roofing tasks as needed during the installation process. Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used. Qualifications Proven experience as an electrician or in a related field with a focus on commercial projects preferred. Strong understanding of electrical systems, including high voltage, low voltage, and NEC standards. Ability to read blueprints and schematics effectively. Experience in construction site environments is essential. Familiarity with plumbing systems is a plus. Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and equipment necessary for installation tasks. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex electrical issues. Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and clients. A valid driver's license may be required for travel between job sites.
