Position Summary The Install Project Team Lead is responsible for leading audiovisual and technology integration projects from installation through completion. This role oversees field operations, installation personnel, project execution, and customer interactions to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, on time, and to company standards. The ideal candidate has extensive experience in audiovisual and technology integration, strong leadership skills, and a commitment to quality workmanship. This is a hands-on leadership position that actively works alongside installation technicians while coordinating daily jobsite activities, managing project progress, and ensuring successful project delivery. Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership & Project Execution Lead installation teams through all phases of assigned projects. Coordinate daily jobsite activities and ensure work is completed according to project schedules. Serve as the primary onsite point of contact for customers, contractors, and project stakeholders. Maintain a safe, organized, and productive work environment. Ensure all work is completed in accordance with company standards, installation procedures, and project specifications. Installation & Technical Responsibilities Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, construction documents, and system drawings. Construct equipment racks with professional cable management practices. Install conduit, pull cable, terminate connections, and prepare equipment for installation. Install, configure, test, troubleshoot, and commission system components. Diagnose and resolve technical issues that arise during installation. Verify system functionality and ensure project completeness prior to customer turnover. Conduct customer training and system orientation upon project completion. Project Coordination Maintain ongoing communication with System Integrators, Project Managers, and company leadership regarding project status, scheduling, and challenges. Ensure materials, equipment, and labor resources are available to meet project requirements. Track daily activities, project updates, and labor hours using company-approved systems. Identify and communicate potential project risks, delays, or scope changes. Support successful project completion while maintaining quality, budget, and schedule expectations. Safety & Compliance Follow and enforce company-approved installation methods, standard operating procedures, and safety policies. Maintain compliance with applicable building codes, regulations, and jobsite requirements. Promote a culture of safety and accountability among installation team members. Ensure proper care and use of company tools, vehicles, and equipment. QualificationsRequired 5+ years of experience in audiovisual installation, technology integration, low-voltage systems, or a related field. Strong knowledge of audiovisual systems, teleconferencing, IP camera systems, networking infrastructure, control systems, and related technologies. Proven experience leading installation teams and managing projects from assignment through completion. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation. Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills. Ability to identify project requirements and proactively plan for successful execution. Ability to maintain quality workmanship while meeting project deadlines. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Ability to pass a background check and drug screening. Ability to safely lift and move equipment weighing up to 80 pounds. Ability to work on ladders, lifts, elevated work platforms, and in confined spaces such as attics, crawl spaces, equipment rooms, and cabinets. Willingness to travel as required for project assignments. Preferred CTS, CTS-I, CTS-D, or other industry certifications. Experience with houses of worship, education, corporate, government, or commercial integration projects. Experience with structured cabling, network infrastructure, and fiber optic systems. Experience leading teams in electrical, mechanical, HVAC, carpentry, or related construction trades. Knowledge of DSP programming, control systems, and network configuration. Travel Requirements Travel within approximately a 2-hour radius of Memphis for the majority of projects. Occasional travel within an 8-hour radius for larger projects. Some overnight travel is required and will be scheduled in advance. What Success Looks Like Delivering high-quality installation projects on time and within scope.
