The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation and maintenance of solar energy systems on residential and commercial properties. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical systems, construction practices, and safety protocols. As a Solar Installer, you will play a crucial role in promoting renewable energy solutions while ensuring high-quality workmanship. Responsibilities Install solar panels on roofs and other structures according to design specifications. Conduct site assessments to determine optimal placement of solar systems. Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively to install fixtures and electrical components. Ensure compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) during installations. Perform electrical connections for both high voltage and low voltage systems. Troubleshoot and resolve installation issues as they arise. Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and safely. Maintain a clean and organized work environment at construction sites. Experience Previous experience in solar installation or related fields such as commercial electrician work is preferred. 2+ years of experience required. Familiarity with construction site practices and safety regulations is essential. Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment such as voltmeters. Knowledge of fixture installation techniques and electrical systems is highly desirable. Ability to work at heights on roofs while adhering to safety protocols. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail are crucial for success in this role.
