In this role, you will be responsible for installing solar energy systems for our clients, ensuring that each system is installed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards. You will work closely with other solar installers, electricians, and contractors to achieve proper installation. This position will start heavily supervised with the availability to gain skills required to perform this position without immediate supervision.Key Responsibilities:
Install Solar Arrays:
Perform all aspects of solar panel installation including mounting panels, wiring, and connecting to electrical systems.Electrical Work:
Assist with connecting solar energy systems to the electrical grid, ensuring compliance with local and national electrical codes.Project Preparation:
Assist in loading and securing project materials as well as tools in company vehicles to complete project installation.Site Assessment and Preparation:
Assist in conducting on-site assessments of roofs and other installation areas to determine optimal solar panel placement and configuration as well as team safety.Maintain Safety Standards:
Adhere to all safety protocols, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe handling of tools and equipment.Team Collaboration:
Work closely with other installers, lead installers, and construction team lead to ensure smooth installation processes and timely completion.Customer Service:
When necessary communicate effectively with customers as representative of Creative Energies, and answer questions and concerns to the best of your ability or direct them to the appropriate resource to have their concerns resolved.Maintain Equipment:
Regularly inspect, maintain, and calibrate tools and equipment, ensuring they are in good working condition and report any issues to the construction team lead as soon as possible.Documentation and Reporting:
Complete and submit all necessary paperwork promptly. Remain up to date with all communications received, and respond in a timely manner.Qualifications:
Experience :
Previous experience in solar panel installation or a related field preferred, but not required. Entry-level candidates with a willingness to learn are welcome to apply. Experience with power tools, hand tools, and mechanical systems is preferred but not required.Technical Skills :
Basic knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, and mechanical systems is a plus. Familiarity with solar PV systems and equipment is highly desirable. Understanding of solar electrical systems, including inverters, batteries, and charge controllers is a plus.Certifications :
High school diploma or equivalentPhysical Requirements :
Ability to work at heights, lift heavy objects (up to 75 lbs), and work in various weather conditions. Attention toDetail :

Ability to collaborate effectively and respectfully with a diverse team.Driver's License :
Valid driver's license is required.Communication :
Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to interact with customers and coworkers professionally and clearly.Schedule:
10 hour shifts (May - October) ; Adjustments to hours may be made to accommodate the shoulder season (November - April) 4 days a week (M-TH, unless otherwise stated) Overtime compensation for all hours worked over 40 hours in a one week period. Overtime shall be compensated at time and a half.Travel:
Day-trips throughout the Salt Lake City area with occasional work beyond the metro area. Overnight travel on occasions, as needed. You will be notified 2 weeks prior to the departure date of any overnight travel. Reports to/Supervises:
The Solar Installer reports to the Construction Team Lead for matters related to project schedules, logistics, and overall coordination. On-site, the Solar Installer takes direction from the Lead Solar Installer, who is responsible for ensuring the safety, accuracy, and quality of the installation. The Solar Installer works closely with other install team members, including electricians, and may also interact with customers to address any questions or concerns. Additionally, the Solar Installer may collaborate with the sales team when necessary, to ensure customer expectations are met and to help resolve any issues that may arise during installation.Benefits:
