Job Description
About us Same Sun of Vermont, Inc. is a family-owned solar sales and service business headquartered in Rutland, VT. We are in our 15th year of operation, serving Vermont and parts of New York and New Hampshire. Customer-focused, with service division. ## Overview We are seeking an experienced solar technician to assist our installation and service teams. Hours will be Monday-Thursday, 6:30am to 4:30 pm. If you are passionate about renewable energy and have a background in construction, this is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the growth of sustainable energy solutions. ## Duties
- Assemble and install solar photovoltaic (PV) modules, panels, or support structures and install on roof
- Follow planset and provide documentation of work
- Perform electrical wiring connections for solar electric systems
- Troubleshoot non-functioning solar arrays
- Use hand tools and power tools to complete installation tasks
- Ensure compliance with building codes and safety regulations
- Collaborate with the construction team on-site to coordinate solar panel installation ## Qualifications
- Experience in solar, electrical, construction or a related field is preferred
- Ability to work at heights on rooftops in various weather conditions
- Familiarity with construction sites and safety protocols
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical diagrams
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
