Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Granite/Stone Fabricator Installer to join our stone division team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fabricating and installing granite and stone surfaces, ensuring precision and quality in every project. This role requires a strong understanding of construction processes, blueprint reading, and the safe operation of various tools and equipment. The position offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects, from residential remodels and new construction to commercial installations, contributing to high-quality craftsmanship. Duties Measure, cut, fabricate, and shape granite and stone materials according to project specifications using hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to ensure accurate installation. Install countertops, wall cladding, and other stone surfaces with precision. Operate heavy equipment as needed for material handling and site preparation. Perform surface preparation tasks such as caulking, sealing, and stone surface polishing to ensure a seamless appearance. Collaborate with project managers, carpenters, electricians, plumbers, and other trades to coordinate installation activities. Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols and proper use of personal protective equipment. Inspect completed work for quality assurance and make adjustments as necessary. Communicate with office staff timely and accurately the result of the job and any additional needs for rescheduling. Professional communication and interaction with customers. Requirements Proven experience in fabrication and installation of granite or stone surfaces; construction site experience preferred. Knowledge of construction management, estimating, inspection, and schematics is advantageous. Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, heavy equipment operation, and various construction techniques including flooring installation (tile laying), cabinet installation, glass installation, fixture installation and restoration of stone. Ability to read blueprints and schematics accurately. Strong understanding of safety procedures related to construction sites. Physical ability to lift heavy materials and operate machinery safely; comfortable working at heights or in confined spaces if required. Valid driver's license is preferred for transportation between job sites. Pay:
$20.00 - $25.00 per hour
