Full Job Description Pay:
$19.00 per hour Job description: Granite Polisher Polish material/parts to correct defects or to prepare surfaces for further finishing, using hand and power tools Apply pressure to polish, glaze, and buff while making sure dimensions stay the same Verify the quality of finished workpieces by inspecting, comparing to templates, measuring dimensions, and marking any defects for possible rework Ensure proper use of equipment
Teamwork:
helping coworkers in other stations if needed Maintain a clean station Responsible for wearing all personal protective equipment (safety glasses, earplugs, waterproof gear, face mask, etc.) Ensure safety procedures are followed Other duties as assigned
Experience Desired:
Experience in fabricating Marble, Granite and Quartz Experience in Construction, Industrial, and Manufacturing fields Experience in material polishing Experience operating a forklift
Education Desired:
High School Diploma/GED Knowledge Required:
Basic knowledge in math (adding and subtracting measurements) Basic knowledge in maintenance
Skills Required:
Ability to lift and carry up to 40lbs Self-confidence Flexibility Initiative Safety oriented This job requires intermittent periods during which continuous physical exertion is required, such as walking, standing, stooping, climbing, lifting material or equipment, some of which may be heavy or awkward
