Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Tile Setter to install ceramic, porcelain, stone, and other types of tile in bathrooms, kitchens, floors, walls, and other surfaces. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, physically fit, and capable of working independently or as part of a team to deliver professional results on time and within specifications. Responsibilities - Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, or plans to determine tile layout Prepare surfaces by cleaning, leveling, and applying adhesives or mortar Measure, cut, and fit tiles using hand tools and power tools (wet saws, tile cutters, etc.) Install various types of tile (ceramic, porcelain, marble, glass, etc.) on floors, walls, countertops, and showers Mix and apply grout, sealants, and adhesives as needed Ensure even spacing and alignment using spacers and leveling systems Finish surfaces by cleaning, polishing, and sealing tiles Clean work area and dispose of debris and excess materials Follow safety guidelines and maintain tools and equipment Communicate with supervisors and clients regarding progress and issues Requirements- Proven experience as a Tile Setter or in a similar role Knowledge of tile types, tools, installation techniques, and industry standards Ability to read basic construction drawings and follow specifications Proficiency with tile cutters, trowels, levels, notched spreaders, and other hand/power tools Physical stamina and ability to work on hands and knees, lift heavy materials, and stand for extended periods Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship Basic math skills for measuring and layout Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (preferred) High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
