Millwork Installer (Contract - Project Based)

About the role Gruppo USA is a NYC-based millwork installation company working across flagship retail, luxury hospitality, and high-end private residences nationwide. We're looking for experienced, self-directed installers to join our contractor roster for ongoing project work.

COMPENSATION

Base rate$25-$45/hr With proof of GL + Workers' Comp insurance → premium rate above $45-$60/hr Rate within each tier is based on experience, skill level, and project scope. Paid against invoices you submit — you are responsible for your own taxes.

A 1099-NEC

will be issued at year end for earnings of $600 or more.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Install high-end European millwork and cabinetry in hotels, retail, showrooms, offices, and luxury residences Read and execute from architectural blueprints and shop drawings Perform precise layout, measurement, and field modifications to spec Handle and stage high-value materials with care Provide progress updates and photos per project agreement Maintain a clean, safe jobsite throughout each engagement

REQUIREMENTS

Current

OSHA 30 SST

Card Proven experience with finish carpentry or millwork installation Ability to read blueprints independently Own tools and equipment Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

PREFERRED

Current General Liability and Workers' Compensation insurance — certificate required to qualify for premium rate Experience with European cabinetry or high-end millwork systems Background in luxury hospitality or high-end residential work Experience leading your own crew

SCHEDULE & TRAVEL

Project-based engagements — no guaranteed minimum hours Schedule varies by project; may include daytime, evening, and weekend hours Travel to project sites required; extended stays away from home are common

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Lift and carry up to 80 lbs; push/pull up to 50 lbs Sustained physical activity throughout the workday including stair climbing while carrying materials Ability to work in varying weather conditions on active job sites This is an independent contractor engagement, not an employee position.

Pay:
