Tile Setter Saint George, UT 84770 $20.00 - $32.02 an hour - Part-time, Full-time $20.00 - $32.02 an hour - Part-time, Full-time Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Tile Setter to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and restoring various types of tile and flooring materials across residential, commercial, and restoration projects. Your expertise will help transform spaces with precision and craftsmanship, ensuring high-quality finishes that meet client specifications. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, utilize a wide range of tools and techniques, and contribute to the creation of beautiful, durable surfaces. Duties Measure, cut, and lay tiles accurately according to project plans, schematics, and blueprints. Prepare surfaces by cleaning, leveling, and applying appropriate adhesives or mortar for optimal tile adhesion. Install various flooring materials including ceramic, porcelain, stone, and other tile products across different environments. Perform caulking, grout application, sealing, and trim carpentry to ensure finished surfaces are water-tight and aesthetically pleasing. Read schematics and blueprints to determine layout patterns and material requirements for each project. Use hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently to cut, shape, and install tiles with precision. Qualifications Proven experience in tile laying, flooring installation, or related construction fields with a strong understanding of construction estimating principles. Familiarity with blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and technical drawings specific to tile installation projects. Hands-on experience working on construction sites with knowledge of hand tools and power tools used in tiling and carpentry. Knowledge of water damage restoration techniques and floor care practices is a plus. Ability to perform caulking, fixture installation, trim carpentry, and restoration tasks efficiently. Strong understanding of safety procedures on construction sites; ability to work independently or as part of a team.
