We are hiring dependable individuals who want to build a long-term career in a skilled trade. No chimney experience is required. We provide structured, hands-on training and clear procedures so you can learn the trade correctly and grow into a high-earning technician. This is not a temporary labor job. This is a career opportunity with year-round work. Compensation StructureTraining Phase $22-$25/hour during paid training Training includes hands-on field instruction, safety procedures, and customer communication Training is ongoing and performance-based, and can take up to 12 months to become fully trained as a technician Production Phase (After Training) Flat-rate pay per completed job and service item Additional services paid as additional flat-rate items (not commission) Earnings reconciled each pay period to ensure Illinois minimum wage and overtime compliance Most trained technicians average $30-$45 per hour Bonus opportunities based on performance and quality standards This structure rewards consistency, professionalism, and accuracy. What You'll Do Perform chimney sweeping and inspection services (fireplace and appliance flues) Learn to identify and explain common chimney and venting issues Take required inspection photos and complete professional reports Communicate findings clearly and respectfully to homeowners Maintain clean job sites and professional standards Follow assigned schedules and procedures Work efficiently without cutting corners What We're Looking For Reliable and punctual (7:00 a.m. shop start required) Strong communication skills Comfortable working on ladders and rooftops Physically capable of working in various weather conditions Valid driver's license Willingness to learn and follow established procedures Who This Is NOT For Individuals looking for short-term or temporary work People who struggle with punctuality or reliability Those uncomfortable working on ladders, rooftops, or in varying weather conditions Anyone not willing to follow structured processes and safety procedures Individuals who prefer minimal physical activity or indoor-only work Those not interested in learning a skilled trade or growing into a long-term role Preferred (Not Required) Experience in construction, roofing, HVAC, masonry, or other skilled trades Experience working in customer homes Home service background Benefits Health insurance Paid Time Off Work Location Chicagoland area and surrounding suburbs In-person, field-based position
