We are seeking a Seasonal Installation Technician to assist with residential system installations during our busy summer season. This position offers flexible scheduling, a professional work environment, competitive pay, and the opportunity to develop practical construction and technical skills. This role is ideal for students, school employees, or anyone seeking meaningful seasonal work with the possibility of transitioning into a full-time, year-round position. No prior industry experience is required. We are willing to train the right person. Reliability, professionalism, mechanical aptitude, and a willingness to learn are more important than previous experience. What You'll Be Doing As a Seasonal Installation Technician, you will work directly alongside an experienced foreman and assist with residential system installations throughout the region.
Responsibilities include:
Completing approximately half of the hands-on installation tasks required for each project under the direction of a foreman Loading, unloading, and transporting tools and materials Operating common hand and power tools Maintaining clean and organized job sites Driving between project locations as needed Interacting professionally with homeowners and customers This is an active, hands-on role that combines indoor and outdoor work. The work may occasionally involve roofs, attics, crawlspaces, and other confined or elevated spaces, but is generally not physically strenuous. Schedule Part-time seasonal position Approximately 20-30 hours per week Primarily Monday-Friday Typical work hours generally fall between 8:00 AM and 1:00 PM, but expect some 8+ hour work days and some days off completely. No weekend work required Evening work is rare The initial seasonal term is expected to continue through August 31, 2026 . Strong performers may be considered for a full-time, year-round position.
Travel Project locations are generally:
Approximately 60% Fargo-Moorhead area Approximately 30% Lakes Country Approximately 10% other surrounding communities Employees are paid for qualifying drive time, and mileage reimbursement is provided for eligible travel outside the Fargo-Moorhead area. Requirements Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Ability to safely lift and carry up to 60 pounds Comfortable working outdoors and in a light construction environment Comfortable climbing ladders and occasionally working on roofs Comfortable occasionally working in crawlspaces, attics, and other confined spaces Dependable, punctual, and self-motivated Able to represent the company professionally at all times Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of residential construction or building systems Experience using common hand and power tools Ability to operate company vehicles when needed Who We're Looking For This is not a typical construction job.
