Entry Level Residential Installer

Entry-Level Residential Alarm Installer (Paid Training) We're hiring entry-level Alarm Installers who want to learn a skilled trade and build a long-term career in the security and low-voltage industry. No alarm experience required — paid training provided . This role is ideal for candidates with a hands-on or mechanical background who are comfortable using tools, working with technology, and providing good customer service. What You'll Do (After Training) Install and program residential security systems (burglar alarms, cameras, sensors) Install door/window contacts, glass breaks, and smoke detectors Test and verify alarm signals Troubleshoot basic system issues Train customers on how to use their systems Complete job paperwork and maintain truck inventory Deliver excellent customer service at each job site Paid Training Program Week 1: Classroom/LMS training at a branch office Week 2: Field shadowing with a senior technician Weeks 3-5: Hands-on installation training ✅ Training is paid ✅ Full technician pay begins once working independently What We're Looking For Interest in learning a hands-on trade Comfortable working with hand tools and basic technology Mechanical, construction, cabling, or similar background is a plus Strong customer service and communication skills Reliable and eager to learn Why Apply Paid training and clear career path Stable, long-term trade Hands-on, field-based work Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Albany, NY. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
