Weatherization Installer / Home Performance Technician Build a Career Improving Homes - We'll Teach You the Rest Solaire Energy is a growing company based in Bradford County, Pennsylvania that helps homeowners reduce energy costs, improve comfort, and make their homes safer. We're looking for someone with a strong work ethic, good character, and basic construction skills who wants to learn a unique and rewarding trade. If you enjoy working with your hands, solving problems, and learning new skills, we'd like to meet you. No previous weatherization experience is required. We provide paid training and opportunities for professional certification. What You'll Do As part of our installation team, you'll work on a variety of home improvement projects including:
- Insulation installation, Air sealing and weatherization
- Basic carpentry, plumbing, and electrical work
- Home energy improvements
- Measuring, documenting, and recording completed work
- Working closely with fellow team members
- Learning to use specialized testing equipment as your training progresses Every day is different, and every project helps make someone's home more comfortable and energy efficient.
The ideal candidate has:
- Good character and a positive attitude
- Basic carpentry, plumbing, electrical, or general construction skills
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Ability to measure accurately and pay attention to detail
- Ability to document work clearly and accurately
- Self-motivation and reliability
- Willingness to learn new skills and accept coaching
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to perform physical work, climb ladders, work in attics and crawlspaces, and lift materials safely
- Valid driver's license with reliable transportation to Canton, PA
