Weatherization Specialist I MT Building Services is growing our team at our newest location, Phoenixville, PA. We partner with utility companies to deliver energy efficiency and weatherization services that make a meaningful difference in the communities we serve. As a Building Performance Institute (BPI) accredited contractor, we are committed to quality workmanship, continuous improvement, and environmental responsibility. We are currently seeking a Weatherization Specialist I to join our growing team serving the Philadelphia Gas Works (PGW) Weatherization Program and other residential energy efficiency initiatives throughout the Greater Philadelphia region. What You'll Do As a Weatherization Specialist I, you'll work alongside experienced crew members and crew leaders to install energy-saving improvements in residential homes. This hands-on position offers the opportunity to learn multiple trades while helping homeowners reduce energy consumption and improve the comfort and safety of their homes.

A typical day may include:

Loading and unloading tools, materials, and equipment Installing insulation, air sealing measures, and weatherstripping Assisting with ventilation and exhaust fan installations Performing minor electrical, plumbing, drywall, and carpentry tasks Installing energy-efficient lighting, outlets, switches, thermostats, and related equipment Operating insulation blowing equipment Conducting blower door testing and documenting work performed Maintaining a clean and safe work environment Providing excellent customer service while working in occupied homes What We're Looking ForMinimum Qualifications Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to our Phoenixville shop Working cell phone with data plan Strong work ethic and willingness to learn Ability to work effectively as part of a team Strong customer service and communication skills Ability to follow instructions and maintain a consistent work schedule Comfortable working indoors, outdoors, and in varying weather conditions year-round Ability to work in attics, crawl spaces, basements, rooftops, and other confined spaces Ability to lift 50 pounds, climb ladders, bend, kneel, crawl, and perform physically demanding work Experience Preferred (But Not Required) Experience in any of the following is a plus: Construction Carpentry Electrical work Plumbing HVAC Insulation installation Weatherization or energy efficiency programs Residential remodeling Schedule Monday through Friday Start time: 7:30 AM Occasional overtime and Saturday work opportunities may be available Why Join MT Building Services? $18.00 - $30.00 per hour
