As an Area Director , you will oversee multiple residential programs, lead high-performing teams, and ensure the delivery of exceptional, person-centered care. You can also see an overview of the amazing work our organization does with this video: https://vimeo.com/344648526 Responsibilities Your Leadership Impact As Area Director, you will: Supervise Residence Directors and oversee performance management, coaching, and staff development Guide hiring processes and provide leadership-level orientation and onboarding support Oversee daily operations of assigned homes, including staffing, budgets, maintenance, and documentation Ensure development and implementation of high-quality Individual Support Plans (ISPs) Maintain compliance with DDS regulations and lead homes toward two-year certification with distinction Oversee internal audits, regulatory reporting, and electronic record accuracy (reviewed no less than quarterly) Coordinate clinical services, entitlements, and community resources Manage internal on-call systems and respond effectively to emergencies and safety concerns Represent assigned programs at administrative meetings and participate in program evaluation Promote strong relationships with families, community partners, and regulatory agencies Safeguard confidential information and uphold organizational policies and procedures Core Competencies Successful candidates will demonstrate strength in: Regulatory compliance and internal auditing Budgeting and fiscal management Performance management and team leadership Program development and operational oversight Relationship building and stakeholder engagement Advocacy and protection of individual rights and dignity Home safety assessments and risk management Cross-functional team collaboration
Qualifications Education:
Bachelor's degree preferred
Experience:
5-10 years of related human services experience Demonstrated supervisory experience required
Licensing & Certifications:
Valid Class C or Class D Driver's License CPR/First Aid certification required
