Area Directors at Bios are responsible for leading teams, overseeing service delivery, and creating programs that help people gain greater independence and stronger connections within their communities. In this role, you will manage the daily operations of a local area office. That includes supervising employees, ensuring high quality support services, and guiding your team to align with the core values of Bios. These values include respect, gentle approaches to care, and person-centered supports that prioritize individual choice and autonomy. You will also help carry out key strategic goals related to how services are delivered across the organization. Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree or higher in related field Minimum of two years of experience in the field of developmental disabilities Excellent written and verbal communication skills Two or more years of experience in high level management position supervising 25+ employeesKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Excellent communication skills; written, interpersonal and public speaking with the ability to connect with a diverse population. Knowledge of Human Resource Management and Financial Management Proficient in Personal Centered Practices and gentle leadership Excellent organizational and leadership skills Business acumen with a strategic ability Proficiency in the use of computers for: Microsoft Teams, PowerBI, Word processing, Excel, Power Point, Google Sheets, Financial Management, Email and Internet.Duties:
Maintains responsibility for all operational activities of Bios of Tulsa and executes them in accordance with Bios, DIDD and MCO policies, procedures and expectations. Supervises and monitors the progress of all Tulsa and surrounding areas staff. This includes teaching and monitoring accountability. Ensures Bios expectations for weekly, monthly, quarterly supervisory meetings occur as required. This includes quarterly social events providing opportunities for quality connections. Executes procedures, training and oversight activities to facilitate employee knowledge of the people supported, their programs and Bios, DIDD and MCO policy and procedures. Ensure people supported have evidence of a meaningful days through work programs or active day programs. Promote operational activities to ensure financially sound programs. Provide training, oversight and management to maintain a high level of accountability for implementation of all Bios processes in order to meet state, federal and contractual requirements. Provide effective hiring and training practices to ensure Bios maintains a staff of qualified personnel that provide the best quality service possible.
