Whether you will spend your day brainstorming in an office cubicle, operating a crane, running manufacturing equipment or troubleshooting technical obstacles, at CMC, you'll get the training and support from your team that you need to excel in your role and reach your full potential.
What You'll Do Build a training process foundation for current and entry level employees, with a focus on the finishing end equipment operators
Develop an onboarding process that would give rolling mill specific training, process overview, as well as job specific safety emphasis
Develop training matrix and tracking method for employee training
Instill finishing end employees with Quality related knowledge, translating to fewer customer complaints, rework/scrap, and process upsets
Help improve equipment reliability with operator focused routines to ensure equipment is operating efficiently
Manage inventory for tie wire, strapping material, and cold shear blades which would also involve purchase material to replenish
Verification for daily production and tag reconciliation
Hold Performance Reviews with employees and/or give feedback on employees performance
Hold employees accountable for results and effectively convey to associates what is expected of them
What You'll Need Previous supervisory experience preferred
Must have critical thinking and analytical skills
Must have the ability to teach, train, and coach
Ability to supervise employees and set clear expectations
Ability to track, chart, and improve processes
Basic knowledge of computers and MS Office programs - Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to communicate up, down, and across the business
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
Ability to stand for extended periods of time, climb stairs/ladders, work at heights, extreme heat, and wear respirator
Your Education Bachelor's Degree preferred, but not required. Equivalent experience and skills can be a substituted for education.
