Job Description

Company Overview WeCare is a dedicated social service organization located in Waite Park and provide services across Minnesota including the Alexandria area and surrounding communities. We are committed to providing comprehensive support to individuals aged 18 and above. Our mission is to nurture the health and autonomy of our clients through tailored care that addresses their unique needs, particularly focusing on the immigrant and refugee community. Summary As an Adult Rehabilitation Mental Health Service provider at WeCare, you will assist clients in their home and in the community with learning how to live a more independent and healthier lifestyle. An ARMHS worker will provide adult rehabilitative mental health services that improve psychiatric stability, social competencies, personal and emotional adjustment, and independent living and community skills when these abilities are impaired by the symptoms of mental illness.
The service areas would encompass:
interpersonal communication skills, community resource utilization and integration skills, crisis assistance, relapse prevention skills, budgeting and shopping skills, healthy lifestyle skills and practices, cooking and nutrition skills, transportation skills, medication education and monitoring, mental illness symptom management skills, household management skills, employment-related skills, and transition to community living services and housing stabilization. Needs of each client vary and are person centered.
Schedule:
The schedule required for this position is flexible. It will be determined between the Mental Health Practitioner and his/her clients. you would need to be available to provide services mainly between 8am - 4:30pm CST, Monday - Friday.
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide Adult Rehabilitative Mental Health Services meeting all DHS and Medicaid requirements. Teach skills to improve mental health Develop a recovery goal, rehab goal, and objective with client Ensure confidentiality of all records and interactions Coordinate services with county case managers, family/guardian of client, work personnel, medical personnel, etc. Participate in professional meetings and workshops, attend community outreach events Develop therapeutic relationship with team and client Provide clinical interventions under the supervision of a mental health professional. Attend supervision meetings and participate in team-based decisions regarding all clients and services. Attend trainings in person or remotely as required by Mn DHS guidelines. This would include traveling to the Waite Park office to attend. Collaborate with other departments and staff in the Waite Park office to maintain person centered services. Other duties as needed
Requirements:
Maintain client files, update client files, update treatment plans a minimum of once every six months, and do all required documentation as specified in DHS guidelines Complete accurate case notes in session for each billable unit using the Electronic Medical Records system Provide Community-based services Must have current driver's license in good standing Have comprehensive auto insurance Maintain own reliable transportation Provide services in various billable locations up to & including 1 hour driving distance from your residence. Maintain staff and professional relationships with clients Provide at a minimum of 85% billable services by 90 days employment Attend 1x a month staff meeting in the
Waite Park Office Public Relations/Networking/Liaison:
Develop and maintain positive working relationships within the community Refer clients to other professionals as needed with supervisor approval Communicate with other providers involved Practitioner will educate self on community resources Have knowledge of all agency programs
Qualifications:
Associate or Bachelor degree in one of the behavioral sciences from an accredited college or university - or up to 32 hours of psychology related classes. Minimum of 2000 hours of verifiable work experience providing services and support to adult individuals with Mental Illness, Traumatic brain injury or developmental disabilities and substance use disorders. Valid driver's license and car insurance
Position Type :
Permanent part-time, no contract or 1099 available at this time. Ability to grow to full-time as caseload increases.
