Plant Maintenance Technician We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Plant Maintenance Technician to join our team at Sun Oil Asphalt in Rensselaer, NY. In this role, you will be responsible for the preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of various plant equipment and machinery to ensure efficient and safe operations. Responsibilities Perform routine preventative maintenance on plant machinery and equipment, including mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems. Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions. Execute repairs on various plant equipment, including motors, pumps, conveyors, gear boxes, and production lines. Conduct regular inspections of equipment to identify potential issues and ensure compliance with safety standards. Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, including repairs, parts used, and time spent. Collaborate with production teams to minimize downtime and optimize operational efficiency. Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO). Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree or technical certification in industrial maintenance, electrical, or mechanical engineering is preferred. Proven experience as a maintenance technician in a manufacturing or industrial environment. Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics. Ability to troubleshoot and repair complex machinery. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Willingness to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays, as needed. Physical Requirements Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs). Ability to stand, walk, bend, and stoop for extended periods.
