Job Title:
Assembler I Job Description As an Assembler I, you will be responsible for building, testing, and packaging small parts and products. This role requires you to interpret blueprints, specifications, and work orders to ensure that the assembly process meets quality standards. You will work with hand tools and small machinery, take directions from supervisors, and explain assembly procedures to colleagues. Responsibilities Read and interpret simple blueprints, specifications, and work orders to verify assembly process and quality requirements. Follow assembly procedures to build parts using hands and small machinery. Explain assembly procedures or techniques to other workers. Position, align, or adjust workpieces or parts to facilitate assembly. Clean parts using cleaning solutions, air hoses, and cloths. Pack finished parts for shipment, including labeling and bagging parts, adding corresponding instruction information, and placing bagged parts into boxes. Examine products to verify quality, including Bonnet to Body Testing and ECL quality issues, determine causes, and rework parts as necessary. Essential Skills Experience in production or manufacturing. Strong attention to detail. Ability to read calipers and work with micrometers. Capability to keep up with higher-speed production. Integrity, reliability, and accountability. Working knowledge of the English language, both oral and written. Ability to perform work safely. High attention-to-detail with strong vision and hearing. Manual dexterity for coordinated hand and finger movements. Ability to stand for 8 hours a day and lift 45 pounds. Skill in active listening and following directions. Additional Skills & Qualifications Ability to learn new machines and production procedures. Experience with assembly drawing, assembly instructions, assembly testing, and assembly production. Proficiency with tools such as torque wrench, torque tools, air tools, and machine operation. Why Work Here? Work Environment The work environment is clean, well-lit, and climate-controlled. Employees are expected to work on a schedule that includes overtime as a normal routine, with shifts from 5 AM to 3 PM or 3 PM to 1 AM, and additional hours on Fridays and Saturdays. The pay for this position is $19/hr for each shift. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Elon, NC. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
