Job Description

Manufacturing Assembler Job Description The Assembler is responsible for assembling fabricated parts and sub-assemblies under general supervision, following established procedures and guidelines. This role supports the achievement of quality, safety, and productivity standards by accurately installing components. Manufacturing facility making insulation panels for walk in freezers. 1st shift: 5am-1:45pm with potential OT. Responsibilities Perform all duties in accordance with the current Quality Management System, Safety Management System, and internal company requirements. Assemble sub-assemblies and install accessory components and materials according to specifications and work instructions. Wire basic electrical connections by following applicable diagrams and standards. Inspect products to ensure they conform to quality, engineering, and customer requirements, and report any nonconformities. Operate hand tools and electrical and pneumatic power tools safely and efficiently during assembly tasks. Load, unload, lift, and move materials and products, using lifting equipment when available and appropriate. Read and interpret job orders, diagrams, and blueprints to select, position, and install materials and accessory components correctly. Complete and maintain all associated electronic processes and paperwork, including checklists, stamping, blueprints, bar coding, and shipping documentation. Maintain departmental housekeeping and adhere to 5S standards to keep the work area clean, organized, and safe. Support additional tasks and projects as needed to meet departmental and production requirements. Essential Skills Experience using hand tools and power tools in an assembly, mechanical, or production environment. Ability to read and use a measuring tape accurately. Ability to follow diagrams, job orders, and basic blueprints to perform assembly work. Capability to perform general labor tasks such as lifting, moving, and positioning materials and products. Attention to detail to ensure products meet quality and engineering specifications. Ability to work safely and follow established safety and quality procedures. Basic mechanical aptitude for assembling fabricated parts and components. Additional Skills & Qualifications Ability to read and interpret blueprints is a plus. Familiarity with mechanical assembly in a manufacturing or production environment. Comfort working with electrical and pneumatic power tools. Experience working within a quality-focused and safety-conscious environment. Willingness to support 5S and continuous improvement practices. Why Work Here? Work Environment This role is based in a manufacturing environment with hands-on assembly work and the use of hand tools, electrical tools, and pneumatic power tools. The dress code requires full-length pants made of sturdy material, such as denim or similar fabrics, with no holes. Steel-toed boots are required and are not provided. Safety glasses, ear plugs, and safety sleeves are provided to support a safe working environment. The work area follows 5S and housekeeping standards to maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Dimas, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
