Job Description

Job Title:
Assembler | $18 HR | 1st Shift Job Description The Assembler will build and install units using both manual techniques and lifting equipment in a clean, well-organized production environment. This role involves measuring and fitting components, performing mechanical assembly with hand and power tools, and completing quality checks to ensure all finished parts meet required specifications. The position is hands-on and physically active, requiring regular lifting and precise measurement work. Responsibilities Assemble and install units manually and with the use of lifting equipment according to work instructions and production requirements. Measure parts accurately using a tape measure or ruler to ensure correct fit and alignment before and after installation. Perform mechanical assembly tasks using hand tools and power tools to build and secure components. Conduct quality checks on finished parts using measurement tools to verify that all dimensions and specifications are met. Follow detailed work instructions, diagrams, and assembly procedures to complete tasks consistently and correctly. Handle and lift materials and components, including items weighing up to 50 lbs, in a safe and controlled manner. Maintain a clean and organized work area, supporting a safe and efficient production environment. Collaborate with team members and communicate any issues, defects, or discrepancies identified during assembly or inspection. Essential Skills At least 2 years of previous manufacturing assembly experience. At least 2 years of experience using a tape measure or ruler in a manufacturing assembly environment. Proficiency in mechanical assembly, including working with various components and fasteners. Ability to read and follow work instructions accurately and consistently. Experience using hand tools for assembly tasks. Experience using power tools for assembly and installation work. Ability to lift and move items up to 50 lbs safely and repeatedly. Strong attention to detail when measuring, assembling, and inspecting parts. Basic understanding of construction or industrial assembly practices. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience working in a construction, fabrication, or similar hands-on environment. Comfort using lifting equipment to position and install larger units or components. Ability to identify and report quality issues during assembly and final inspection. Strong work ethic and reliability in a production setting. Willingness to learn and adapt to new assembly methods and tools as needed. Why Work Here? The role is physically active, involving regular standing, moving, and lifting components up to 50 lbs. The workspace supports teamwork and communication while maintaining a focus on quality, safety, and productivity. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lakewood, Ohio. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $18.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
