Job Description

Assembly Subject Matter Expert (SME) We are seeking an experienced Assembly Subject Matter Expert to serve as the technical authority for assembly processes within a modular manufacturing environment. This role works closely with Engineering and Manufacturing teams to ensure assembly methods are standardized, efficient, repeatable, and compliant with engineering and code requirements. This is a highly hands-on engineering support role focused on solving technical assembly challenges, improving assembly execution, supporting production ramp-ups, and preventing cross-functional design conflicts. Responsibilities Develop and maintain assembly standards, work instructions, and best practices Support manufacturing teams during production, rework, and special builds Interpret engineering drawings, BOMs, and specifications Coordinate assembly interfaces with structural and prefabrication systems Troubleshoot assembly-related defects and technical issues Support Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives Train teams on assembly standards and execution requirements Participate in audits, inspections, and customer support activities Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering, or equivalent experience 5+ years in manufacturing, modular construction, or assembly environments Strong understanding of assembly processes and engineering drawings Experience with standard work, process validation, and production support Lean manufacturing exposure preferred #eli
