Job Description Summary The Assembly Supervisor is responsible for providing frontline leadership and daily operational oversight for the Assembly Department. This role ensures safe, efficient, and consistent production across multiple assembly lines while supporting employee performance, accountability, and compliance with company standards. The Supervisor serves as the primary on-floor leader, supporting production goals and acting as a liaison between hourly associates and management. Job Description The Assembly Supervisor oversees day-to-day operations within the Assembly Department. This role provides direct supervision to production employees, coordinates labor and workflow, and ensures production schedules are met while maintaining safety and quality standards. The Supervisor is accountable for monitoring production performance, addressing operational issues in real time, and ensuring consistent application of policies and procedures. This position plays a critical role in maintaining efficient operations, minimizing downtime, and supporting a positive, disciplined work environment. The Assembly Supervisor works closely with the Assembly Manager to execute departmental objectives and support continuous improvement initiatives. Roles and Responsibilities Provide direct supervision and leadership to hourly assembly associates Oversee daily operations across the inflator lines and contract manufacturing Assign labor efficiently to meet production schedules and output requirements Monitor safety compliance and enforce safe work practices at all times Ensure product quality standards and assembly procedures are consistently followed Address production issues, inefficiencies, and equipment-related concerns promptly Track attendance, enforce policies, and support employee accountability Assist with training, onboarding, and skill development of assembly personnel Communicate expectations, performance feedback, and operational updates to employees Escalate issues appropriately and support corrective actions as needed Collaborate with management on staffing needs, performance concerns, and improvement opportunities Support continuous improvement efforts to enhance productivity and reduce downtime Skills and Qualifications Minimum of 3-5 years of supervisory or lead experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment Demonstrated experience leading hourly production employees Strong understanding of production flow, safety, and quality standards Ability to manage multiple work areas or production lines simultaneously Effective communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills High school diploma or equivalent required Physical Demands Up to 1/3 of time is spent walking, talking or hearing, using hands to finger, handle or feel, and reaching with hands and arms. 2/3 or more of time may be spent standing or sitting. Approximately 1/3 of time may be spent lifting up to 25 lbs. 2/3 and more of time may be spent lifting up to 10 pounds.
