Job Description

JOIN OUR TEAM AS AN INTAKE TECHNICIAN!
Your Work Matters How will you make a difference? Join our dynamic team at Ridgeview Institute Monroe and make a difference as an Intake Technician ! In this role, you'll have the opportunity to plan and execute engaging activity services for our patients, contributing directly to their treatment goals and overall well-being. As a valued member of our interdisciplinary team, you'll provide continuous care, interaction, and positive role modeling to patients, fostering an environment conducive to healing and growth. Receive referral calls, obtain minimal demographic information, and refer the call to the appropriate source or schedule an assessment. The Technician must properly triage emergency phone calls and walk-ins according to urgency in order that appropriate attention can be provided. Process all requests for information and external referrals. Completes insurance verifications and pre-certifications as needed. Assist in arranging for admission of patients, including alerting the business office staff to begin the verification of benefits, initiating calls to physicians and other related tasks as directed by the Intake Clinicians, Intake Coordinator and/or Director of A&R. Determine what Releases of Information are needed, and process them accordingly, per policy. Assist in obtaining needed records and information. Your Experience Matters What we're looking for:
Education & Licensure:
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in occupational therapy, art, music, recreational therapy, humanities, or movement therapy. Master's degree preferred. Certification or licensure by the state of Georgia and/or national governing body in the following areas: art, occupational, recreation, or music therapy.
Experience:
One (1) year of related experience, with a knowledge of psychiatric patient care techniques with an understanding of mental illness preferred.
Additional Skill Requirements:
Successful completion of CPR Certification and successful completion of CPI before assisting with a restraining procedure and within 30 days of employment. Current Lifeguard and First Aid if conducting swimming activities. May be required to work overtime and flexible hours. Compensation:
This is a full-time role and the expected compensation range is $15.00 - $18.00 hourly.
