JOB SUMMARY

The Assistant Brewer / Delivery Driver reports to the Head Brewer of Homewood Brewing Company. This hybrid role is responsible for assisting with core brewing, packaging, and cleaning duties in the brewery, while also managing safe and efficient beer distribution to our off-site accounts and events. Key Responsibilities Brewery Operations and Production

Wort Production:

Support the brewing process through mashing, boiling, and hop additions.

Cellar Duties:

Perform dry hopping, yeast harvesting, and beer transfers.

Cleaning & Maintenance:

Maintain rigorous hygiene standards, including cleaning and sanitization of brewing equipment and kegs.

Equipment Care:

Perform routine maintenance on brewing equipment to ensure operational uptime.

Quality Control:

Participate in sensory analysis of products to ensure HBC quality standards. Distribution and Logistics

Delivery Execution:

Load, transport, and unload beer (i.e. kegs and cases) for off-site accounts and events using the company vehicle.

Payment Processing:

Securely collect checks or cash payments from accounts.

Customer Engagement:

Serve as a brand ambassador, assisting restaurant staff and retail partners in understanding the HBC craft beer lineup.

Events:

Represent the brewery by participating in offsite festivals and special events. Qualifications

• A genuine passion for craft beer and a strong desire to learn and develop expertise within the industry.
• A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required.
• Must be 21+ and able to lift up to 55 lbs to shoulder height, move up to 165 lbs, and work on your feet for extended periods.
• Basic knowledge of brewing processes and computer literacy in email, word processing, and spreadsheets.
• Strong attention to detail, ability to maintain cleanliness, and the capacity to work both independently and within a team.
• Ability to strictly follow all safety and product quality standards. Compensation and Benefits

Expected Hours:

20 - 30 hours per week.

Compensation:

$22 to $26 per hour based on experience
